eBay Limits: Know What to Expect
eBay has a few rules that affect how syncing works. QuickSync works within those requirements and makes the important limitations clear.
eBay Updates Are Checked Every Two Minutes
eBay does not announce sales to QuickSync instantly. QuickSync checks eBay every two minutes for stock and order changes, so there can be a short delay before a new eBay sale reaches your connected stores.
Orders Can Leave eBay, Not Enter It
eBay does not allow apps to create orders. Orders from other sales channels cannot be sent into eBay, so you need to choose a supported connected store as your fulfillment destination.
Listings Wait for Your Approval
New listings do not publish to eBay without your approval. Review the changes first, then enable the sync direction you want.

Questions eBay sellers ask
How quickly does QuickSync know about a eBay sale?
eBay does not announce sales to us, so we check it every couple of minutes for both stock and orders. Once we have the sale, correcting every other shop takes a fraction of a second, or a second or two on Amazon and eBay. Sending a change the other way is quick too. It is only finding out about eBay’s own sales that waits for the next look.
What does QuickSync get access to on eBay?
Your products and stock, and your orders, and nothing beyond what the jobs in the table above need. Payment card details are never part of what we receive. You can withdraw the access from the eBay side whenever you like, and we stop.
Will connecting eBay change my listings?
No. Nothing on eBay is edited, published or unpublished until you turn a direction on, and copying a listing onto eBay always waits for you to look at it first. Most sellers leave it watching for a few days and check the numbers agree before letting it make any changes.
Can orders from my other shops be sent into eBay?
No. eBay does not allow any app to create orders on it, and it hands its orders out only. Six of the eleven integrations can be the shop that fills an order taken somewhere else, so you pick one of those as your packing bench. Your eBay orders still land in the same list.
Does the tracking number go back to eBay?
Yes. Add the number to the order in QuickSync and we send it back to eBay on its own, and the buyer gets eBay’s normal notification. It is one fewer thing to do twice.
