Lightspeed marks it shipped, without the number

Lightspeed records a sale as fulfilled but does not keep a carrier or tracking number against it. We mark it shipped and the number stays visible in QuickSync.

Listings do not publish to Lightspeed or eBay on their own

Copying a listing from Lightspeed to eBay (or the other way) always waits for you to look at it. Stock is the only thing that moves on its own, and only once you have turned it on.

Lightspeed reports a sale the moment it happens, so the eBay listing drops to match in about a second. eBay announces nothing, so we ask it every two minutes, and an eBay sale reaches the register on the next check.

Two minutes matters only at speed. An item selling twenty a day sells one every seventy minutes, and a two-minute window on that is a fraction of a unit. Hold one back on anything genuinely fast and the window stops being a risk.

The SKU that matches an item across the two has to fit eBay’s 50-character limit, the tighter side here. Trim long register codes before connecting and the first match is clean.

Shipping detail travels one way. The tracking number goes to the eBay order as normal, but Lightspeed records a sale as fulfilled without keeping a carrier or number against it, so the number stays visible in QuickSync and on eBay rather than on the register.
