How quickly does Square update after something sells on eBay?

Within two minutes. eBay has no way of telling us the moment a sale happens, so we check it on a short timer instead. Once we have the sale, correcting Square takes under a second. The other direction is much quicker: Square tells us straight away. If either shop has an outage, we hold the update and retry until it goes through.

Can I sync Square inventory with eBay?

Shorter SKUs, No Tracking Back

There are two things to check before you connect Square and eBay: SKU length and tracking.

Square supports SKUs up to 80 characters, but eBay supports up to 50. If you have longer SKUs, check them before syncing because anything over eBay’s limit can be cut short and make product matching harder.

Tracking is another limitation. Square does not accept tracking numbers, so tracking for eBay orders stays in QuickSync and eBay. This does not affect normal in-store sales, but it is important to know if you ship orders from eBay.
