WooCommerce Squarespace integration that keeps one stock count
For sellers running WooCommerce and Squarespace side by side. WooCommerce is the side that can be told to fill an order, so it is the natural place to pack from, and its 300-character SKU has to shorten to the 60 Squarespace allows. Both shops tell us the moment something sells, so the other is corrected in under a second. Stock you edit yourself inside Squarespace is the slower path: we pick that up every couple of minutes.

How to connect WooCommerce and Squarespace
Four steps and about ten minutes. The two connections are a login each; most of the time is us matching your catalogues, and nothing changes until you switch it on.
Connect WooCommerce
You install QuickSync for WooCommerce from wordpress.org and click Connect. A pairing code is the fallback if you started here first. Nothing on your shop changes until you turn a sync on.
Connect Squarespace
You generate an API key in Squarespace and paste it into QuickSync.
Let it match your products
We line the two catalogues up by SKU, then by title, and hand you a short list of anything we could not match. You decide what happens to those.
Watch, then switch it on
Leave it watching for a few days and check the numbers agree. When you are happy, let it start making changes, one shop at a time.
What a WooCommerce Squarespace integration actually moves
One row per job, based on how QuickSync connects to WooCommerce and Squarespace today. Where a side does not allow something, the cell says so.

Running WooCommerce and Squarespace as two separate shops
Two online shops with two counts is how you oversell: a sale on WooCommerce can still show as available on Squarespace until somebody notices.
| Two shops, run by hand | Two shops, connected |
|---|---|
| The last one sells in both shops within the same hour | Whichever shop sells it, the other one drops to match |
| Typing the same stock numbers into WooCommerce and Squarespace each morning | One count, sent to both, without anyone opening a spreadsheet |
| Changing a price means editing the same product twice | Change it once and each shop gets the price you set for it |
| Orders in two dashboards, matched up by hand at the end of the week | Every order already matched to the right product |
| A refund leaves your numbers wrong until someone notices | A refund puts the stock back and tells both shops |
| Guessing how stale each shop’s number is | A sale on either shop reaches the other in under a second |
One Squarespace order, start to finish
Real timings, second by second.
Correcting WooCommerce takes under a second once we have the sale. The order is in your packing list with the Squarespace order number on it, and a tracking number added later goes back to Squarespace on its own.
The other direction is the same: a sale on WooCommerce reaches Squarespace just as quickly, because WooCommerce pushes it to us the moment it happens too.
The limits: know them before you connect
Every WooCommerce Squarespace integration has constraints. These are the ones that apply here.
Sales are instant; stock edits wait
A sale on either side reaches the other in under a second. Stock you edit yourself inside Squarespace is the slower path: we check that every couple of minutes.
Squarespace stock is checked, not pushed
Squarespace tells us about orders straight away but not about stock you edit yourself there, which we pick up on our next look a couple of minutes later.
Nothing publishes itself to WooCommerce or Squarespace
Copying a listing from WooCommerce to Squarespace (or the other way) always waits for you to look at it. Stock is the only thing that moves on its own, and only once you have turned it on.
Squarespace announces orders but not your own edits
The split matters, because it decides which action is instant and which one waits.
A Squarespace order reaches us as soon as it is placed. Squarespace announces those. A stock figure you change by hand inside Squarespace is different: there is no announcement for it, so we look every couple of minutes and pick it up on the next check. Both things are stock movements to you, and only one of them is instant, which is why counting adjustments sometimes seem slower than sales.
In practice this is a small difference and it lands in a helpful place. Selling is the fast path, so the case everyone worries about, the same item going out of both shops within a minute of each other, is the one Squarespace tells us about immediately. The slower path is you running a stocktake inside Squarespace and expecting WooCommerce to show it in the same breath. Give that a couple of minutes.
Squarespace takes 60 characters of SKU
WooCommerce holds 300, so the shorter side sets your budget.
Items pair up by SKU and the shorter limit governs. WooCommerce will store 300 characters, which is more than any catalogue needs. Squarespace takes 60. Anything longer is truncated on the way to Squarespace, and once truncated it no longer matches the item it came from, so the count on that item quietly stops moving while everything around it keeps working.
Sixty characters is generous, so for most shops this is a five-minute check rather than a project. The catalogues that trip over it are the ones with SKUs built out of words, where a long product name, a variant and a supplier code end up glued together. Sort by SKU length, look at the top of the list, shorten the pattern once, then connect. Doing it first costs far less than reconciling two counts later.
Two shops fits the smallest plan

Questions people ask about this pair
How quickly does Squarespace update after something sells on WooCommerce?
Under a second in normal conditions. WooCommerce tells us the moment the sale happens and we write the new count to Squarespace straight away. The reverse is the same when Squarespace sells. If either side is briefly unreachable we hold the update and keep trying rather than dropping it.
Can WooCommerce and Squarespace share the same inventory?
Not by themselves. Neither platform can see the other’s catalogue, so it takes a tool in between. QuickSync matches items by SKU and holds one count across both sites, so an order on either one lowers the other. Keep SKUs to 60 characters or fewer, since that is the Squarespace limit and the tighter of the two.
Why is my Squarespace stock edit slow to reach WooCommerce?
Because Squarespace announces orders but not stock you change yourself. There is no notification for a manual edit, so we check for it every couple of minutes and carry it across on the next look. Orders are the instant path. If you are running a stocktake in Squarespace, expect a short wait rather than an immediate change.
Do I have to re-list my WooCommerce products on Squarespace?
No. We match your existing WooCommerce and Squarespace listings by SKU first, then by title, and hand you a short list of whatever we could not match. You can also copy a listing from one side to the other if you want it in both places; that step always waits for you.
Can I charge a different price on Squarespace?
Yes. Set a rule once for Squarespace: a percentage, a fixed uplift, or a price you type yourself. We apply it whenever the price changes, and nothing forces WooCommerce and Squarespace to the same number.
Does the tracking number go back to both shops?
Yes. When you add a tracking number to an order, we send it back to whichever of WooCommerce or Squarespace the order came from, and the buyer gets the shop’s normal notification.
Does a Squarespace order get recreated on WooCommerce?
No. The order stays on Squarespace. We pull it into your one QuickSync list next to your WooCommerce orders so you pack from one place, without creating a duplicate WooCommerce order for it.
What happens if a buyer cancels or I refund them on WooCommerce or Squarespace?
The stock goes back. A cancellation or a refund puts the item back into your count and we send the corrected number to both WooCommerce and Squarespace.
Which plan do I need for WooCommerce and Squarespace?
Lite covers WooCommerce and Squarespace. Lite is $19 a month for two shops and holds 1,000 items, with up to eight connected integrations. You would move up a plan for catalogue size, and your bill goes up by another $19 if you connect a third shop.
