WooCommerce Amazon integration that keeps one stock count

Amazon and WooCommerce each track their own stock, so a connector between them is what stops the same unit being sold twice.

Follow one Amazon sale

For WooCommerce shops that also sell on Amazon. WooCommerce accepts a 300-character SKU and Amazon cuts at 20, the widest gap of any pair on this site, so deciding which code identifies a product is the work that makes the rest hold. Anything Amazon stores and ships keeps its own count.

What to know before you connect

Inventory limit

FBA inventory stays with Amazon

We always send your count to Amazon, but we only take changes back for items you ship yourself. Anything Amazon stores and ships for you (FBA) keeps its own count, which is Amazon's to own.

Manual control

Listings do not publish to WooCommerce or Amazon on their own

Copying a listing from WooCommerce to Amazon (or the other way) always waits for you to look at it. Stock is the only thing that moves on its own, and only once you have turned it on.

Before you connect

Stock Amazon holds

Half your catalogue may be deliberately left alone.

We always send your WooCommerce count to Amazon, whatever fulfilment method a listing uses. The return leg is where the split is: we only take changes back from Amazon for the items you pick, pack and post yourself. Anything Amazon stores and ships keeps the count Amazon has, and we leave it alone.

That’s a decision rather than a gap. Amazon’s warehouse knows what is on its own shelves and your WooCommerce site doesn’t, so writing a WooCommerce figure over an FBA count would replace a true number with a guess. Where one SKU is sold both ways, the merchant-fulfilled part is the half that tracks your site.

So the question to answer before you switch anything on is which of your listings Amazon fulfils. It decides which way each one moves, and it’s the thing people most often assume rather than check.

Where it stops

No tracking back

Amazon orders reach you. The shipping number doesn’t reach Amazon.

An Amazon sale arrives in QuickSync like any other order and corrects your WooCommerce count on the way through. What can’t happen is the return trip: Amazon gives us no way to write a tracking number onto one of its orders, so once you’ve posted the parcel the number stays in QuickSync and on the WooCommerce side.

For merchant-fulfilled sales that’s a real step rather than a detail, because Amazon wants the tracking on its own side and confirming it stays a manual job in Seller Central. Nothing we do removes it. It’s the one piece of double handling on this pairing, and we’d rather it were on the page than a surprise in week two.

WooCommerce has no such limit. We write the carrier and the number straight onto the order there, so anything that sells on your own site is finished in one place.

Three different jobs

Three things share the name

Only one of them is about keeping stock straight between two shops.

Search for a WooCommerce Amazon integration and you land on three different products wearing one name. The first is selling your own goods on Amazon: your listings, your stock, a seller account, and something holding the count on your site and the count on the marketplace in agreement. That is the one this page is about.

The second is Amazon Pay, which is a checkout button. It’s a WordPress plugin that appears under Settings and Payments in WooCommerce and lets a shopper pay on your site with the card and address already held on their Amazon account. It creates no listing and moves no stock figure, and it runs quite happily on a shop that sells nothing on the marketplace at all.

The third goes the other way: pulling Amazon’s catalogue into WooCommerce to earn affiliate commission on goods that were never yours. No stock of yours is involved, so there is nothing to keep level. Worth settling which of the three you’re after before you install anything, because the tools don’t overlap and only one of them is a sync.

Guide for running WooCommerce and Amazon together

Questions people ask about this pair

Do I have to re-list my WooCommerce products on Amazon?

No. We match your existing WooCommerce and Amazon listings by SKU, and hand you a short list of whatever we could not match. You can also copy a listing from one side to the other if you want it in both places; that step always waits for you.

How do I connect WooCommerce to Amazon?

Enter your shop’s address in QuickSync, log in to your WordPress admin when it sends you there, and approve the API access request. WooCommerce hands the keys back and nothing on your shop changes until you turn a sync on. If the approval fails, check that permalinks aren’t set to Plain, the WooCommerce REST API is on, and the site loads over https.

Is there a free WooCommerce Amazon integration?

Not from us. QuickSync is free for 14 days with no card, and Lite is $19 a month for two shops. Amazon’s own tools move listings but will not hold one stock count across both, which is the part that stops the same unit selling twice.

Is Amazon Pay the same as a WooCommerce Amazon integration?

No, though both carry the name. Amazon Pay is a checkout method: a WordPress plugin that adds a payment button so a shopper can pay with the card and address already held on their Amazon account. It creates no listing on Amazon and moves no stock figure, and it works just as well on a shop that never sells on the marketplace. Holding a WooCommerce shop and an Amazon seller account on one stock count is a separate job, and it is the one QuickSync does.

Can I import Amazon products into WooCommerce?

Not with QuickSync. Pulling Amazon’s catalogue into a WooCommerce site is affiliate work (you list goods you do not own and earn commission on the sale), and the plugins built for it are a separate category. QuickSync works the other way round, on stock you own and sell in both places, which is the only case where two counts can disagree.

Can I charge a different price on Amazon?

Yes. Set a rule once for Amazon: a percentage, a fixed uplift, or a price you type yourself. We apply it whenever the price changes, and nothing forces WooCommerce and Amazon to the same number.

Does the tracking number go back to both shops?

Not to Amazon. Amazon has no way for us to send a tracking number back.

Does an Amazon order get recreated on WooCommerce?

No. The order stays on Amazon. We pull it into your one QuickSync list next to your WooCommerce orders so you pack from one place, without creating a duplicate WooCommerce order for it.

What happens if a buyer cancels or I refund them on WooCommerce or Amazon?

A refund alone does not restock an item. When the originating platform reports a stock increase, QuickSync propagates the updated quantity between WooCommerce and Amazon.

Which plan do I need for WooCommerce and Amazon?

Lite covers WooCommerce and Amazon. Lite is $19 a month for two shops and holds 1,000 items, with up to eight connected integrations. You would move up a plan for catalogue size, and your bill goes up by another $19 if you connect a third shop.
