Wix mirrors the master store
Product edits made directly on Wix are overwritten on the next sync, by design: the master store is where the catalogue is edited, and Wix displays it. Stock and orders still move the moment they change, in both directions.
Nothing publishes itself to Wix or Shopify
Copying a listing from Wix to Shopify (or the other way) always waits for you to look at it. Stock is the only thing that moves on its own, and only once you have turned it on.
Which store is the master
Wix mirrors a master store, and that decides where you edit.
Wix syncs on a master-store model: the master’s catalogue mirrors onto Wix, and product edits made directly on Wix are overwritten on the next sync. Pick Shopify as the master and Shopify is where names, images, prices and options get edited; Wix displays them.
Stock and orders are not part of that rule. A sale on either store corrects the other, Shopify in about a second and Wix within a few seconds, and both stores’ orders land in one list.
Forty characters, and the speed of each side
Wix sets the code limit; both stores announce their sales.
Wix keeps 40 characters of SKU against Shopify’s 255, so the shared code has to fit 40. Both stores tell us the moment something sells, so there’s no polling window on this pair.
Wix products carry up to 6 option groups and 100 options, the roomiest options model we connect, so a Shopify catalogue’s size, colour and material fold onto Wix without loss. App-installed custom fields and subscription products stay behind; they don’t sync.

How quickly does Shopify update after something sells on Wix?
A few seconds in normal conditions. Wix tells us the moment the sale happens and we write the new count to Shopify straight away. The reverse is the same when Shopify sells. If either side is briefly unreachable we hold the update and keep trying rather than dropping it.
Can I sync inventory between Wix and Shopify?
Yes, through a sync app: neither platform reads the other on its own. QuickSync matches products by SKU (40 characters or fewer, Wix’s limit), corrects each store within seconds of a sale on the other, and brings both stores’ orders into one list.
Which store should be the master?
The one where you already edit products. Wix mirrors the master’s catalogue and edits made directly on Wix are overwritten on the next sync, so the master is where names, prices, images and options live. Stock and orders move both ways regardless.
Do I have to re-list my Wix products on Shopify?

Can I charge a different price on Shopify?
Yes. Set a rule once for Shopify: a percentage, a fixed uplift, or a price you type yourself. We apply it whenever the price changes, and nothing forces Wix and Shopify to the same number.
Does the tracking number go back to both shops?
Yes. When you add a tracking number to an order, we send it back to whichever of Wix or Shopify the order came from, and the buyer gets the shop’s normal notification.
What happens if a buyer cancels or I refund them on Wix or Shopify?
The stock goes back. A cancellation or a refund puts the item back into your count and we send the corrected number to both Wix and Shopify.
