When a Wix order lands, we write it into QuickBooks as its own invoice, a line per item with the number sold and the price paid, tied to whichever QuickBooks item shares the SKU. The quantity on hand moves with it, so the books’ count follows what actually sold rather than being typed in at quarter-end.
The quantity in QuickBooks is a bookkeeping figure no shopper ever sees. When you’re reconciling, Wix holds what the shop shows and QuickBooks holds what the books say, and we correct the second from the first.
Nothing comes back out
QuickBooks is the books, not a shop, and the connection respects that.
Invoices go into QuickBooks and never come back out, by design: there are no listings, photos or variants to manage on that side, and QuickBooks never writes an order onto your Wix store. That’s the shape of an accounting sink, not a gap.

How quickly does QuickBooks update after something sells on Wix?
Under a second in normal conditions. Wix tells us the moment the sale happens, and the invoice and the stock figure are written to QuickBooks straight away. Nothing is ever bought in QuickBooks itself, so there is no sale there for us to go looking for. If QuickBooks is briefly unreachable we hold the update and keep trying rather than dropping it.
Does Wix integrate with QuickBooks?

Yes, to Wix. When you add a tracking number to an order we send it back and the buyer gets the shop’s normal notification. QuickBooks holds the invoice rather than the buyer, so there is nobody there to notify.
Do orders flow both ways with QuickBooks?
No. A Wix sale becomes an invoice in QuickBooks. Nothing is imported back out of QuickBooks into your shops; it is a one-way accounting sink by design.
What happens if I refund a Wix order?
The stock goes back on Wix and the quantity on the books updates with it. Handle the invoice credit in QuickBooks the way you normally would; we keep the quantity right, not your accountant’s credit-note workflow.
