What that asks of you is small and specific: on the handful of items that sell fastest, keep one unit of safety stock. A five-minute window on an item that sells twice a day is no window at all; on the market-day bestseller it’s worth the single held-back unit.

The marketplace decides the catalogue’s shape, not the register.

Etsy allows a listing two option types, so an item that’s size, colour and material on the register has to fold down to two on Etsy. We list the affected products before anything publishes, and you choose how each folds.

Etsy also allows the same SKU on more than one listing, which we won’t guess between: duplicates are flagged and sit out of sync until each listing has its own code. And because a new Etsy listing costs $0.20, nothing publishes to Etsy until you’ve approved it.

Does the tracking number go back to both shops?

Supported shipment updates return to the original order when the connected fulfillment store supplies them. QuickSync can mark the Lightspeed sale shipped, but does not store the carrier or tracking number there. Etsy accepts updates only where it grants access for your shipping origin, integration date and approved-provider status. If access is restricted, add tracking and mark the order shipped in Etsy.

Does an Etsy order get recreated on Lightspeed?

Eligible Etsy orders can create a routed copy in Lightspeed when you choose it as your fulfillment store and enable order syncing on Pro or higher. The original stays in its source store. Unsupported directions, order state and your settings can prevent a copy in Lightspeed.

What happens if a buyer cancels or I refund them on Lightspeed or Etsy?

A refund alone does not restock an item. When the originating platform reports a stock increase, QuickSync propagates the updated quantity between Lightspeed and Etsy.
