Amazon inventory management software for sellers who ship their own
If Amazon holds your stock and ships it, your inventory problem is restock forecasting and the tools further down this page do it better than we do. If you ship it yourself and the same unit is also listed on Shopify, eBay, Etsy or a till, this is the problem QuickSync solves: one count, corrected everywhere, the moment an Amazon order comes in.

Three things about Amazon that decide the count
Read out of the integration rather than a brochure, because each one changes what a tool can honestly promise.
FBA stock is Amazon’s
We send your count to Amazon whatever the fulfilment method, but we only take changes back for items you ship yourself. Anything Amazon stores and ships keeps its own count, which is Amazon’s to own. A tool claiming full two-way FBA sync is claiming to overwrite a number Amazon is authoritative for.
SKUs stop at twenty
Amazon’s seller SKU field takes 20 characters, the tightest of the twelve channels we connect and a fraction of Shopify’s 255. The code that matches a product across shops has to fit the shortest limit, so Amazon usually sets your naming scheme. The SKU generator checks all twelve.
Orders go out, never in
Amazon hands you its orders and will not accept one taken elsewhere, so it cannot be the shop you fulfil from. Nor is there a field for a tracking number to go back into. Both are Amazon’s design, not gaps in what we built, and any tool telling you otherwise is describing something else.
Every row read from the integration source
Stock both ways for what you ship yourself, listings and prices out, orders in. The speed rows answer two different questions: how fast we hear, and how fast we write.
| What | |
|---|---|
| Stock count | We always send, and hear back for items you ship |
| New listings | We can create and update |
| Prices | Sent, with your rule applied |
| Orders in | Into QuickSync |
| Tracking back | Amazon does not accept one from us |
| Photos and options | Photos, sizes and colours |
| How fast we update it | A second or two |
| How fast it tells us | The moment it happens |
Eight Amazon inventory tools, split by what they count
The first question is not price. It is whether the tool counts the stock Amazon holds or the stock you hold, because almost no page on this subject separates them.

The pair you actually run
Each page sets both channels’ behaviour side by side: what syncs, what each one tells us, and what neither can do.
Four steps, and none of them a relist
Connect Amazon
You authorise QuickSync in Seller Central for the marketplaces you sell in. Nothing on your listings changes until you switch a sync on.
Connect the other shop
Shopify, eBay, Etsy, WooCommerce, Wix, a till, or any of the twelve. One shop on its own has nothing to stay in step with.
Let it match by SKU
QuickSync pairs products across shops by SKU and hands you the ones it could not pair. Amazon’s twenty characters is usually what needs settling here.
Watch, then switch on
Read-only first. Compare counts on your twenty best sellers for a day, then turn the write on and let the first sync push the number you trust.
Questions Amazon sellers ask
Does QuickSync manage FBA inventory?
No, and that is deliberate. We always send your count to Amazon, but we only read changes back for items you ship yourself. Anything Amazon holds and ships keeps the count Amazon maintains, because two systems writing to one FBA figure is how sellers end up with numbers nobody trusts. If restock forecasting for FBA is the job, Helium 10 or SoStocked are built for it and this is not the page.
What is the best inventory management software for Amazon sellers?
It splits on fulfilment. Amazon holds and ships your stock: Helium 10 or SoStocked, both built around restock forecasting. You ship it yourself and also sell it on Shopify, eBay, Etsy or a till: a sync tool that keeps one count, QuickSync from $19 a month for two shops or Trunk from $35. A warehouse with purchase orders and pick-and-pack: Linnworks or Veeqo.
How fast does an Amazon sale update my other shops?
Amazon tells us the moment a merchant-fulfilled order is placed, and the other shops are corrected straight after. Writing a new count back to Amazon takes a second or two rather than a fraction of one, because Amazon takes stock updates as a submitted feed and we wait for it to be accepted rather than assuming it was.
Does Amazon have built-in multichannel inventory management?
Seller Central manages the stock in Amazon. It has no view of the same unit sitting in a Shopify shop or on a shelf behind a till, and no way to reduce those when an Amazon order comes in. That gap is what every tool on this page exists to close, from different directions.
Will my tracking numbers go back to Amazon?
No. Amazon gives us no field to write a tracking number into, so shipping detail stays in QuickSync and in whichever shop the order was fulfilled from. Amazon also cannot be handed an order taken somewhere else: marketplaces hand orders out, they do not take them in. Six of the twelve integrations can be the shop that fills an order, and Amazon is not one of them.
How long can an Amazon SKU be?
Twenty characters, which is the tightest limit of the twelve channels QuickSync connects, against 255 on Shopify. The code that matches a product across your shops has to fit the shortest limit in the set, so Amazon usually decides it. The SKU generator checks every channel’s limit before you commit to a scheme.
Connect Amazon and one more shop
Two weeks on us. The app pairs your listings by SKU, shows every correction as it happens, and leaves your FBA count alone. If it is not the right tool, nothing on Amazon has changed.
