How to connect

How to connect TikTok Shop and Amazon

Four steps and about ten minutes. The two connections are a login each; most of the time is us matching your catalogues, and nothing changes until you switch it on.

Connect TikTok Shop

You approve QuickSync in TikTok Shop Seller Center for the shop you want connected.

~1 minute

Connect Amazon

You authorise QuickSync in Seller Central for the marketplaces you sell in.

~1 minute

Let it match your products

We line the two catalogues up by SKU, then by title, and hand you a short list of anything we could not match. You decide what happens to those.

~5 minutes

Watch, then switch it on

Leave it watching for a few days and check the numbers agree. When you are happy, let it start making changes, one shop at a time.

Correcting TikTok Shop takes under a second once we have the sale. The order is in your packing list with the Amazon order number on it.

The other direction is the same: a sale on TikTok Shop reaches Amazon just as quickly, because TikTok Shop pushes it to us the moment it happens too.

Speed and limits

The limits: know them before you connect

Every TikTok Shop Amazon integration has constraints. These are the ones that apply here.

Quick between TikTok Shop and Amazon

Both TikTok Shop and Amazon tell us the moment something sells, so a sale in one is reflected in the other in a second or two. There is no polling gap on this pair.

Stock Amazon holds is left alone

We always send your count to Amazon, but we only take changes back for items you ship yourself. Anything Amazon stores and ships keeps its own count, which is Amazon’s to own.

Nothing publishes itself to TikTok Shop or Amazon

Copying a listing from TikTok Shop to Amazon (or the other way) always waits for you to look at it. Stock is the only thing that moves on its own, and only once you have turned it on.

Both sides push

Neither side waits to be asked

TikTok Shop and Amazon both push their changes to us the moment they happen.

This pair is unusual among marketplaces: both sides tell us the moment something changes, so neither sits behind a scheduled check. That matters most when a video does what videos do. A clip that starts moving units on TikTok Shop can empty a shelf inside an hour, and the Amazon listing selling the same stock needs to hear about it while the run is still going, not on the next pass of a timer.

The reverse direction deserves a plain sentence. Your count always goes out to Amazon, and for lines you fulfil from your own shelves Amazon’s changes come back to us and on to TikTok Shop. Anything sitting in an Amazon warehouse keeps a count of its own, because Amazon can see those shelves and we would be estimating movements that never reach us.

Amazon’s two limits

Twenty characters, and no tracking field on Amazon

Both limits belong to Amazon, and both are worth settling before you connect.

TikTok Shop holds 50 characters of SKU. Amazon takes 20, so 20 is the number that governs this pair. Longer SKUs are truncated on the way to Amazon and then match nothing, and because we truncate rather than refuse, nothing errors and no warning appears. The item just stops following your count. If your SKUs are built out of words, twenty characters disappears faster than you expect.

Amazon keeps no field for a tracking number either, so what you generate for a parcel stays in QuickSync rather than on the Amazon record. And with a marketplace on each side, neither can be told to fulfil an order that came from the other. The platforms impose that on each other, and no tool in the middle can talk either of them out of it.

FAQ

Questions people ask about this pair

How quickly does Amazon update after something sells on TikTok Shop?

A second or two in normal conditions. TikTok Shop tells us the moment the sale happens and we write the new count to Amazon straight away. The reverse is the same when Amazon sells. If either side is briefly unreachable we hold the update and keep trying rather than dropping it.

How fast does stock sync between TikTok Shop and Amazon?

Both platforms push changes to us as they happen, so neither is checked on a timer. A sale on TikTok Shop lowers the Amazon count without waiting for a scheduled pass, which is the behaviour you want when a video sends demand up quickly. Amazon changes come back for items you ship yourself.

Does QuickSync write tracking numbers back to Amazon?

No. There is no field on the Amazon side for a tracking number, so we have nowhere to put one and it stays in QuickSync. Worth knowing as well: both platforms here are marketplaces, so neither can be asked to fulfil an order placed on the other. What crosses between them is the stock count.

Do I have to re-list my TikTok Shop products on Amazon?

No. We match your existing TikTok Shop and Amazon listings by SKU first, then by title, and hand you a short list of whatever we could not match. You can also copy a listing from one side to the other if you want it in both places; that step always waits for you.

Can I charge a different price on Amazon?

Yes. Set a rule once for Amazon: a percentage, a fixed uplift, or a price you type yourself. We apply it whenever the price changes, and nothing forces TikTok Shop and Amazon to the same number.

Does the tracking number go back to both shops?

Not to Amazon. Amazon has no way for us to send a tracking number back.

Can I create an order on Amazon from a sale on TikTok Shop?

No. TikTok Shop and Amazon hand orders out and do not accept orders created elsewhere. We pull both into one packing list so you still work from one place; each order stays on the channel it came from.

What happens if a buyer cancels or I refund them on TikTok Shop or Amazon?

The stock goes back. A cancellation or a refund puts the item back into your count and we send the corrected number to both TikTok Shop and Amazon.

Which plan do I need for TikTok Shop and Amazon?

Lite covers TikTok Shop and Amazon. Lite is $19 a month for two shops and holds 1,000 items, with up to eight connected integrations. You would move up a plan for catalogue size, and your bill goes up by another $19 if you connect a third shop.
