TikTok asks for a size chart on new listings in some categories, and turns a listing down without one. In QuickSync, you upload one chart for your TikTok store. We attach it to every new listing we create there.
We only send it with a new listing. Updates never carry a size chart, so a new chart in QuickSync won’t reach your existing TikTok listings. You change those in TikTok Seller Center. Below: how to upload, how to get the image right, and how to fix a live listing.
Which listings need one
It’s TikTok’s call, category by category. Its size chart guide covers fashion and sports products. It asks for a clear chart, in the language of the market you sell to.
We don’t check the category first. Once your chart is on file, it goes on every new listing we create, whatever the category.
Upload your size chart
- Open Settings, then the Stores tab.
- Click Manage on your TikTok store, then Review settings.
- Under Default size chart, choose a PNG or JPG of 10 MB or less.
- Click Save changes.
The field then reads A size chart is already on file. Saving needs a Default category too, so pick one if it’s empty. Upload another later, and it replaces this one. We use the new chart for listings we create from then on.
Get the image right
Before it goes to TikTok, we prepare the chart the same way as a product photo. That can change it:
- Shape. Keep it between 3:4 and 4:3, from slightly tall to slightly wide. We trim the edges of anything wider or taller, to about 4:3 for US shops and to a square elsewhere. That can cut off the outer rows or columns of a table.
- File size. We accept up to 10 MB, and shrink anything over 5 MB before sending it.
- Small images. We scale up anything under 300 pixels on a side.
New listings only
We attach the chart when we create a TikTok listing, never when we update one. That has three effects:
- Upload before you export. A listing we create before the chart is on file goes without one, or TikTok refuses it.
- A new chart reaches new listings only. Re-exporting won’t add a chart to a listing that’s already on TikTok, or change the one it has.
- Your Seller Center changes stay. Our updates don’t carry a chart, so one you set on a listing in TikTok stays there.
Change a live listing’s chart
Do it in TikTok, not QuickSync. In TikTok Seller Center, edit the listing, or use TikTok’s tool for adding size charts to existing products. Upload the chart and submit it. TikTok’s size chart guide shows both ways.
If TikTok refused a listing
Say TikTok refused a new listing for lacking a size chart, and none was on file. The product doesn’t list, and its Sync verdict tab says TikTok rejected it. We don’t email you about this one. Our support team gets an alert instead.
Upload the chart, then open the product and click Sync product. It’s still a new listing to TikTok, so the chart goes with it.
Common questions
Does TikTok require a size chart?
For some categories, yes. TikTok decides which, and its size chart tool covers fashion and sports products. When a category needs a chart and a new listing has none, TikTok rejects the listing. In QuickSync, upload one chart under your TikTok store’s Review settings. We’ll attach it to every new listing we create on TikTok.
I updated my size chart. Why do my TikTok listings still show the old one?
Because we send the chart only when we create a listing. Updates never include one, so re-exporting a product won’t change it. Your new chart goes on the listings we create from now on. For a listing that’s already live, change the chart in TikTok Seller Center and submit it for review. Our later updates won’t overwrite it.
Why won’t my size chart upload?
Check the file first. It has to be a PNG or JPG of 10 MB or less. Other files show Upload a JPG or PNG image or Image must be 10 MB or smaller. If a sync is running, the upload has to wait, so try again when it finishes. Couldn’t register the size chart with TikTok means TikTok didn’t take the image. Upload it again.
Can I use a different size chart for each product?
Not from QuickSync. There’s one size chart per TikTok store, and we attach that same chart to every new listing we create there, whatever the category. Uploading another replaces it for future listings. For a product that needs its own chart, change it on the listing in TikTok Seller Center. Our updates don’t send a chart, so your change stays.
