QuickSync copies a TikTok order into your packing store when you ship it yourself, with Seller Shipping. Orders that TikTok ships never reach Shopify or any other shop. That covers Fulfilled by TikTok and TikTok Shipping.
In the US, those orders still come into QuickSync, without the buyer’s name, address or email. Only QuickBooks or Xero can take a copy. Outside the US, they don’t sync at all. Order syncing needs Pro and above.
How we tell them apart
We go by what TikTok records on each order. If it shows TikTok Shipping or fulfillment by TikTok, the order is TikTok’s to ship. We count it that way even when you pack it yourself.
US orders need both marks to count as yours: Seller Shipping, and fulfillment by the seller. If TikTok doesn’t show both, we don’t copy the order to a shop.
What syncs for each
Here’s what we do with each.
| What happens | Seller Shipping | TikTok Shipping or Fulfilled by TikTok |
|---|---|---|
| Copy in a shop as your packing store | Yes | No |
| Copy in QuickBooks or Xero as your packing store | Yes | US orders only |
| Buyer’s name, address and email | Yes | No |
| Tracking back to TikTok | Only when Shopify, WooCommerce or Square packs | No, TikTok ships it |
| Products and stock in your own warehouses | Sync as usual | Sync as usual |
Choose your packing store says who can pick QuickBooks or Xero.
US orders TikTok ships
We import them without the buyer’s name, address or email, and keep the items, prices and notes. If QuickBooks or Xero is your packing store, we copy each one there like any other sale.
If your packing store is Shopify or another shop, the copy fails. The order shows Needs attention on the Orders page, and its detail reads Platform Fulfillment Copy Unsupported. That’s expected, not a fault. A shop can’t hold a copy without treating it as an order to ship. TikTok is already shipping this one. Retrying won’t change that. We never send tracking for these orders.
Orders outside the US
Outside the US, an order TikTok ships doesn’t sync anywhere, QuickBooks and Xero included. While order syncing is on, we email you “Fulfillment by TikTok detected”, at most once a week. It asks you to switch to Fulfillment by Seller.
Switch to Seller Shipping
This is a TikTok setting, and its name varies by region. In TikTok Seller Center, open your shop’s shipping options. Choose Seller Shipping, called Shipped by Seller in some regions. Outside the US, also set each product’s delivery option to one you ship yourself.
TikTok applies the change to orders placed after it. Earlier orders keep TikTok Shipping, so they stay out of your shop. We can’t copy those, so ship them from TikTok.
Stock and TikTok’s warehouses
Fulfillment changes what happens to orders, not stock. Your products, and the stock in warehouses you run, keep syncing either way.
We never write stock to a warehouse TikTok runs for you. It doesn’t appear under Connect locations, so you can’t pair it with a location in another store. More in TikTok warehouses.
Common questions
Why aren’t my TikTok orders syncing to Shopify?
Check how TikTok ships them first. If an order uses TikTok Shipping or Fulfilled by TikTok, we don’t copy it into Shopify or any other shop. TikTok already handles that shipment. Switch to Seller Shipping in TikTok Seller Center for new orders. Then check that order syncing is on, which needs Pro and above. Shopify also has to be your packing store.
What does Platform Fulfillment Copy Unsupported mean?
It means we couldn’t copy a US TikTok order to your packing store, because TikTok ships it. A shop can’t hold a copy without treating it as an order to ship. TikTok is already shipping this one. It’s expected, and retrying won’t change it. Only QuickBooks or Xero, as your packing store, can take a copy, and it comes without the buyer’s details.
Will my old TikTok orders sync after I switch to Seller Shipping?
No. We go by the shipping method TikTok records on each order. TikTok applies a change only to orders placed after it. Earlier orders keep TikTok Shipping, so they stay out of your shop. Ship those from TikTok Seller Center. Orders placed before you turned on order syncing in QuickSync don’t copy on their own either, whichever method they used.
Does Fulfilled by TikTok stop my stock syncing?
No. Fulfillment changes what happens to orders, not stock. Your products, and the stock in warehouses you run, keep syncing between TikTok and your other stores. We never write stock to a warehouse TikTok runs for you, and you can’t connect one to a location in another store. Manage the stock TikTok holds for you in TikTok Seller Center.
