If your product exports to TikTok have suddenly stopped, there are two possible reasons: you have either reached TikTok’s daily listing limit or your shop is under a temporary restriction. If either of these situations affects your store, QuickSync will detect it automatically and notify you through your dashboard and by email with all the details you need to take action.
What are TikTok Listing Restrictions & How Does QuickSync Resolve Them? #
When TikTok blocks your product listings, QuickSync detects it automatically and lets you know straight away. There are two situations that can cause this:
1. Listing Restriction: This happens when TikTok places a temporary block on your shop, usually due to a policy violation or an unresolved issue on your seller account. TikTok will set a specific date by which your listings are restricted. When QuickSync detects this,
- QuickSync shows a Listing Restricted notice on your QuickSync dashboard with the restriction end date
- QuickSync will send you an email with the exact date, so you know exactly when you can start listing again
- We log the restriction in your Activity Log for reference
Once the restriction period ends, your product exports will resume automatically.
2. Daily Product Limit Reached: TikTok only allows new sellers to create up to 100 product listings per day. If you try to export more than 100 products in a single day, TikTok will block the remaining listings until the next day. When QuickSync detects this,
- QuickSync shows a Daily Product Limit Exceeded notice on your QuickSync dashboard
- QuickSync will log the event in your Activity Log so you have a record of it
This is not a penalty or restriction on your account; it is simply TikTok’s standard daily cap for new sellers, and it resets every 24 hours.
How It Works #
When a product listing is blocked, TikTok returns error code 12052093 to QuickSync. QuickSync then checks the error message to identify what type of block it is:
- If the error message contains “listing products is restricted until …”, QuickSync extracts the YYYY-MM-DD end date and calls post_listing_restriction(end_date). This displays a Listing Restricted notice on your dashboard and sends an email with the exact restriction end date to the store owner.
- If no date is found in the error message, QuickSync identifies it as a daily product limit block and calls post_daily_product_limit_exceeded() to display the Daily Product Limit Exceeded notice on your dashboard instead.
All notices are also saved in your Activity Log inside QuickSync so you can refer back to them at any time.
What to Do When You See TikTok Listing Restrictions #
If you see a listing restriction notice:
- Wait until the restriction end date shown in your dashboard or email
- Log into TikTok Seller Center and review any flagged policy violations
- Resolve any issues before the restriction ends
- Your product exports will resume automatically once the restriction period is over
If you have hit the daily product limit:
- Enable Auto Export Products so QuickSync automatically exports up to 100 products per day until your full catalog is live on TikTok
- Or simply retry your exports the next day
To enable: Settings → TikTok → Settings → Auto Export Products
Troubleshooting #
Q1: The restriction date in my email has passed, but I still cannot list products. What should I do?
Try exporting again. If it still does not work, log in to your TikTok Seller Center and check for any updated restrictions on your account. If the issue continues, contact your TikTok account manager directly.
Q2: Can QuickSync override or remove my listing restriction?
No. These limits and restrictions are set by TikTok and cannot be changed by QuickSync. QuickSync detects the issue, alerts you on your dashboard, and sends you an email so you can plan accordingly.
