This page answers frequently asked Etsy integration FAQs about using QuickSync with Etsy, including listing rules, product syncing, order syncing profiles, and inventory syncing.
QuickSync’s Etsy integration helps you sync products, inventory, media, and orders across channels while automatically handling Etsy-specific requirements and limitations.
General Integration #
Q1. How much does Etsy charge per listing?
Etsy charges a $0.20 listing fee per item when a product is published.
This fee applies each time a listing is created or renewed. Additional charges may include:
- Transaction fees
- Payment processing fees
- Optional advertising fees
QuickSync does not charge listing fees. It simply follows Etsy’s platform rules.
Q2. Are listings created with auto-renew enabled?
Yes. Listings created through QuickSync are published with auto-renew enabled by default, meaning they automatically renew after expiration unless manually ended.
Currently, there is no option to disable auto-renew from QuickSync.
Q3. Why is my Etsy shop not allowing listings to publish?
Common reasons include:
- Shop is in vacation mode
- Shop is suspended or restricted
- Billing or account issues
You must resolve these issues directly on Etsy before listings can be published successfully.
Setup & Settings #
Q1. What happens during Etsy connection setup?
When you connect Etsy in QuickSync:
- Your shop is authenticated securely
- Listings, categories (taxonomy), and catalog are imported
- Shipping profiles and return policies are fetched
- A progress bar shows the sync status
This ensures your Etsy store is fully ready for syncing.
Q2. Why do I need to configure shipping profiles and return policies?
Etsy requires valid shipping and return policies for every listing.
QuickSync helps by:
- Importing existing policies
- Creating default policies if needed
- Assigning them automatically to new listings
Without these, listings may fail to publish.
Q3. What is the difference between fixed and calculated shipping?
- Fixed Shipping → You set a flat shipping price (e.g., $5 for all orders)
- Calculated Shipping → Etsy calculates shipping based on location, size, and weight
QuickSync supports both options and uses the default package size and weight if product data is missing.
Product Sync #
Q1. What are the most common reasons an Etsy listing fails to publish?
Etsy listings usually fail to publish due to a few common issues, such as the shop being in vacation mode or frozen, missing or invalid shipping profiles, exceeding title or tag limits, or using restricted words or characters.
In some cases, temporary API or rate limits can also cause failures. QuickSync helps by showing the exact error returned by Etsy, making it easier to identify and fix the problem quickly.
Q2. Does QuickSync modify product titles or tags for Etsy?
Yes. QuickSync automatically cleans invalid characters to comply with Etsy rules. For example:
- “&” → “and”
- “%” → “percent”
- Unsupported symbols are removed
This helps prevent listing errors.
Q3. How does QuickSync handle products with more than 2 options?
Etsy allows a maximum of 2 option groups per product.
If your product has 3 options (e.g., Color, Size, Material), QuickSync will:
- Combine two options into one (e.g., “Color / Size”)
- Keep the third option separate
This ensures compatibility with Etsy’s limitations.
Q4. Can I sync images and videos to Etsy?
Yes, you can sync both product images and videos to Etsy using QuickSync. Image syncing is fully supported, while video syncing is available on selected plans. This helps keep your listings visually consistent and aligned across platforms.
Inventory Sync #
Q1. Does Etsy support inventory syncing?
Yes. QuickSync supports inventory syncing with Etsy, ensuring stock levels stay updated across your connected channels.
Q2. Does Etsy support multi-location inventory?
No. Etsy does not support multi-location inventory. All stock is managed as a single inventory source.
Q3. Why is my inventory not updating on Etsy?
Inventory may not update on Etsy for a few common reasons, such as syncing not being enabled, the product not being selected for syncing, or temporary API or connection issues.
To resolve this, ensure that inventory syncing is active and properly configured in your QuickSync dashboard.
Orders Sync #
Q1. Does QuickSync support Etsy order syncing?
Yes. QuickSync supports order syncing from Etsy, allowing you to view and manage orders across your connected platforms.
Q2. Can QuickSync update tracking numbers on Etsy orders?
Yes, QuickSync can update tracking details on Etsy orders. When an order is processed in your source platform, it automatically syncs the tracking number and shipping carrier to Etsy, allowing customers to easily track their orders.
Q3. Why is my Etsy order not syncing?
Etsy orders may not sync due to a few common reasons, such as temporary API or connection issues, orders created before syncing was enabled, or product mapping mismatches.
In such cases, QuickSync sends error details via email, helping you quickly identify and resolve the issue.
Q4. What happens if an Etsy order fails to sync?
If an order fails to sync, QuickSync will send you an email notification with:
- The exact error
- Steps to resolve the issue
This helps you quickly fix the problem and process the order.
Q5. Does Etsy provide customer information in synced orders?
This depends on the region.
- Non-US regions → Customer information is available
- US region → Etsy may restrict customer address data
QuickSync still syncs the order, but customer details may be limited depending on Etsy’s policy.
Q6. Can Etsy be used as a fulfillment store?
No. Etsy does not support fulfillment store functionality. While orders can be synced and updated with tracking details, Etsy cannot be used to manage fulfillment across other platforms.
